Features

  • Clean sweetness: close to sucrose, with no pronounced aftertaste
  • Cool sweetness: perceived sweetness is stronger at low temperature, suited to cold drinks
  • Good moisture retention: helps slow moisture loss in baked goods
  • Readily participates in Maillard reactions: supports colour and flavour development (process control required)
  • Good fermentability: directly utilisable by yeast
  • Blends with high-intensity sweeteners: improves the sweetness profile
  • Full sucrose replacement: used as widely as sucrose in beverages, bakery and confectionery, with synergistic sweetener effects
  • Cost and mouthfeel optimisation: improves mouthfeel and maintains texture while reducing formulation cost
  • Complete range: F42, F55 and F60 grades to match different sweetness and process requirements

Applications

Food and beverage scenarios suited to this product (dosage to be validated by trial)

  • Carbonated & juice drinks: primary sweetener

  • Tea & coffee drinks: sweetness adjustment

  • Bakery & pastries: moisture retention, colour and anti-staling

  • Seasonings & sauces: sweetness adjustment

  • Confectionery: sweetness and body

  • Dairy & plant-protein drinks: mouthfeel adjustment

  • Carbonated and fruit drinks: F55/F60 commonly replace white sugar

  • Dairy and ice cream: improves sweetness profile and crystallisation resistance

  • Bread, pastry and preserved fruit: humectancy and crystallisation control

Grade system: F42 / F55 / F60

F42, F55 and F60 are the regular grades of standard HFCS, classified by fructose content (of dry solids). They are now consolidated into this product series for unified production and supply, and are no longer listed as separate product lines; the grades are supplied to fructose (of dry solids) ≥42%, ≥55% and ≥60%, fructose plus glucose ≥92%, ≥95% and ≥95%, and dry solids ≥70.5%, ≥76.5% and ≥72.5%, produced to GB/T 20882.4-2021.

F42: fructose about 42% (of dry solids), sweetness close to sucrose, suited to bakery, fermentation and Chinese-style beverages.
Pinqing standard HFCS F55 grade product image - food-grade drum
F55: fructose about 55% (of dry solids), the mainstream sweetener for soft drinks, with a refreshing taste and good anti-crystallization properties.
Pinqing standard HFCS F60 grade product image - food-grade drum
F60: fructose about 60% (of dry solids), with faithful flavor delivery and a distinct cold-sweetness profile, suited to beverages and functional drinks.

Specifications

Basis of data: Grades and limits below follow GB/T 20882.4-2021 (Starch sugar and sugar alcohol quality requirements — Part 4: High fructose syrup); contaminant limits follow GB 2762 (sugars and starch sugars). F42, F55 and F60 are supplied to contract; relative sweetness is a reference value varying with temperature and matrix. Health-related statements are not claims of disease prevention or treatment.

FAQ

Common questions on specification basis, application and commercial terms

Answered product questions

What is standard HFCS?

High fructose corn syrup produced to the national standard, composed mainly of glucose and fructose and commonly used as a sweetening ingredient in beverages and foods.

Which grades are available?

F42, F55 and F60 are supplied as standard: fructose (of dry solids) ≥42%, ≥55% and ≥60%; fructose plus glucose ≥92%, ≥95% and ≥95%; dry solids ≥70.5%, ≥76.5% and ≥72.5%, produced to GB/T 20882.4-2021. The F90 high-fructose grade is described on the F90 page.

How does it differ from F90 HFCS?

F90 has a higher fructose content and higher sweetness, suited to sugar-reduction formulas and blended sweetener bases; standard grades taste closer to sucrose and suit general sweetening and the main sweetener in beverages.

Which products is it suited to?

Carbonated and juice drinks, tea and coffee drinks, bakery and pastries, seasonings and sauces, confectionery and dairy drinks.

How should it be stored?

Store sealed in a cool, dry place away from heat and direct sunlight and use promptly after opening; the standard shelf life is 12 months, as stated on the product label.
